Two owners, one phone number, and a licence with a name on it.
Billy runs the field. Perla runs the office. Texas licence TACLA36229C, held by the person who does the work.
Billy Wagner
Owner · Field Operations
Billy is a Houston native who learned the trade from his father, who owned a small HVAC company. He spent four years with a commercial HVAC company, then took a government contract in Afghanistan covering air conditioning, plumbing, electrical work, and custom fabrication.
He came back and worked alongside his father for nearly 15 years before starting Air Star. That is 26 years of hands-on experience, and it is why the answer you get on a hard diagnostic call tends to be a specific one.
He runs the field side, and his stated goal for the company has not changed: grow on referrals and work people can point at.
Perla
Owner · Office & Customer Care
Perla is also a Houston native. Her family immigrated to Houston from a small town in Mexico in the late 1980s. She grew up in Pasadena, moved to the Clear Lake area after high school, and worked two jobs while putting herself through college.
She earned a business degree from the University of Houston at Clear Lake in 2015. Before Air Star she spent nearly a decade in oil and gas and four years at a chemical plant, which is close to two decades of customer service.
She joined Air Star in 2023 and leads the customer service team. If you call and someone actually helps you, there is a good chance it started with her.
