What those numbers do and do not mean
The volume is the more meaningful figure of the two. A rounded 5.0 average across a handful of reviews tells you almost nothing, because a small sample is easy to influence. The same average across 770+ reviews collected over years is a different kind of evidence, because it reflects a pattern rather than a moment.
A rounded 5.0 also does not mean every single review is perfect, and we are not going to claim that it does. What it means is that the rounded average currently sits at 5.0. Read a range of them and reach your own conclusion, which is the entire point of reviews existing.
How to read HVAC reviews well
Start with recency. A company can change substantially in three years, in either direction, so recent reviews describe the company you would actually be hiring. Then look for specificity: a review that names the problem, what was done and how it went is worth more than a short compliment with no detail in it.
Look at the critical reviews on purpose, and read the responses. How a company answers someone who is unhappy tells you more about it than any of the positive reviews will. Finally, notice whether reviewers describe the same things repeatedly. Consistent themes across many people are a real signal. A single outlier in either direction usually is not.
Where the reviews live
The reviews are on our Google Business Profile, which is public and which we do not control the contents of. You can read the full set there, sort by recency, and see the ratings without any filtering by us. We would rather you read them at the source than take a curated selection at face value.
If you have worked with us
A review helps other homeowners more than it helps us, particularly a detailed one. If something did not go the way it should have, we would genuinely rather hear it directly and get a chance to fix it. Call (713) 929-9595, at any hour, and ask for the office.
